Original Abstract
Adequate tissue acquisition is essential for the histopathologic and molecular characterization of thoracic malignancies. Although endobronchial ultrasound-guided mediastinal cryobiopsy has shown promising diagnostic performance, cryobiopsy of superficial lymph nodes has not previously been described. We report the first-in-human experience with ultrasound-guided trans-cannula cryobiopsy of supraclavicular lymph nodes (CryoPeUS) in 10 consecutive patients with suspected thoracic malignancy and PET-positive supraclavicular lymphadenopathy.
